BRECK Series

BRECK is a serialized Christian noble dark fantasy series by Chadwick Rye, set in the world of Lumenvale. Breck is a veteran courier — 6’5″, 285 pounds, former Crystal Wars special operations — who cannot walk past certain things. Each book is twenty chapters. The first two chapters of every book are free to read here. Book One, BRECK: Dead Delivery, and Book Two, BRECK: Cold Harbor, are on Amazon and free with Kindle Unlimited; Book Three is coming soon.

Book One: Dead Delivery

A courier named Breck rides into Crestfall, a quiet, declining river town, on a routine delivery. It should be clean work, no complications. Instead he finds a town running on fear — shuttered stalls, shortened hours, and a twelve-year-old boy waiting on a step with a patience that doesn’t belong on a child’s face.

Breck arrives in Cold Harbor with a simple delivery for the harbormaster. What he finds is a port town with new money, a missing scholar, and an old clerk who asks the kind of questions that don’t stay quiet once they find somewhere to sit.

Carrying a sealed letter he still hasn’t opened, Breck leaves Lumenvale for the first time, bound for Nomados — a realm where the land itself walks on legs of stone. There he faces a grievance no law recognizes: sentient mountains against a chartered mining concession.
